Level II Advanced Certificate in Trauma Treatment: Healing Through Creative and Expressive Modalities
A certificate in Level II is offered to clinicians who have graduated from the Level I Certificate Program in Advanced Trauma Treatment AND to clinicians who demonstrate an expertise in the trauma field. Experienced clinicians can also register for an individual class that is relevant to their work. The program is a total of 9 full-day trainings, spread out over the four-month semester. It combines three master classes in Expressive Therapies (only open to Level II participants) with additional required classes that offer creative and right-brain based modalities, and a final class for case consultations with the entire expressive arts faculty. The program offers practitioners the opportunity to deepen their understanding of trauma and to apply advanced treatment strategies rooted in creative and expressive therapies into their work with clients.
The Level II program will be offered twice a year, in the Spring and Fall. Classes take place from 8:45 am through 4:00 pm and are held at the Pikesville Doubletree Hilton Hotel. ***The Hilton Hotel offers special, deeply discounted rates for Institute participants who wish to stay at the hotel the night before/after a training. Registration and breakfast begins at 8:30 am.
This program has been approved by The Board of Social Work Examiners, the Board of Psychologists and The Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists in Maryland. Reciprocal approval is also granted to mental health practioners in Washington, D.C., Virginia and West Virginia.
Program Cost
The cost of the entire training (54 CEU’s) is $1800.00, payable in three installments:
- $600 due on September 3, 2013
- $600 due on October 30, 2013
- $600 due on December 9, 2013
You can either pay by credit card, check or money order. If you are paying by credit card, your card will be charged on the three payment dates listed above. If you are paying by check, three installments will be due, in person, on the same dates mentioned above. Checks should be made out to T.I.A.P.T.E., Inc.
The cost includes:
- All hand-out materials
- Full breakfast
- Afternoon snacks
- A small gift related to self-care on each training day
- CEU certificates after each part of the training
- Final certificate upon completion of the program
